UEFA, the European governing body, is studying a protest from Juventus that the Bulgarian club, CSKA Sofia, fielded an ineligible player in their Uefa Cup first-round first-leg 3-2 win over the Italians last week. Juventus claimed that Petar Mihtarski had been signed by CSKA after the Uefa deadline of 15 August.
