The Kilmarnock midfielder Billy Findlay has joined Ayr United for a nominal fee. Findlay, 27, would have been out of contract at Rugby Park at the end of the season and has struggled to establish himself in the first team this term.

Peter Jackson, the Huddersfield manager, will call time on his 19-year playing career when he turns out for the reserves against West Bromwich tonight.
