KATRIN KRABBE, the German sprinter, plans to challenge legally her two-year ban for drug abuse that expires in August 1995 and intends to ignore the International Amateur Athletic Federation sanction, confirmed by an arbitration panel on Saturday, to compete in the forthcoming indoor season. Krabbe, the former world double sprint champion, said yesterday she was counting on backing from the German Athletics Federation.
