Kenya's Simon Bor set a course record in winning the Los Angeles Marathon, beating the mark set 11 years ago by almost one minute. Bor crossed the finish line in 2hr 9min 25sec, more than a minute ahead of hiscompatriot James Bungei. Kazakhstan's Irina Bogacheva won the woman's race in 2hr 30min 32sec.
