Backed by Volkswagen, who will put in pounds 500,000 over the next three years, there will be a recruitment drive aimed at finding 1,000 new coaches. The Welsh national squad will be used for promotion, their players' fund receiving an extra pounds 15,000 per annum which will guarantee those players who figure in all Test matches this season pounds 1,500.
