NEXT Saturday's Second Division derby between Stoke and Port Vale will be played before a capacity crowd of just under 25,000 at the Victoria Ground. Vale sold their allocation of 6,750 tickets yesterday.

THE DIRECTORS of Halifax Town are holding a crisis meeting today after an ultimatum from their local council. Calderdale Council are demanding the directors of the debt-ridden Third Division club make personal guarantees over the thousands of pounds owed by the club, or it will withdraw the licence for Halifax to play at The Shay.
