Angol was wrestled through the ropes in the 10th round. European Boxing Union rules state that a boxer is allowed a 20-second recovery period if he is 'knocked out of the ring' before being counted out. Angol, who was up by eight, was counted out by referee Kurt Stroer.
JOHNNY NELSON, the former British and European cruiserweight champion from Sheffield, is to get another British title chance despite three defeats in the last five months. Manchester's Karl Thompson has been ordered to defend his title against Nelson.
