The stocky Chilean striker has endured a nightmare time since arriving at Ibrox in January 1997, needing three knee operations and playing in only three first-team games. But the 22-year-old has made such a good recovery from surgery that Rangers' coach, Dick Advocaat, has recalled him for the game at Dunfermline.
"I am very surprised to be in the squad but very happy with the situation," Rozental said. "I have played two-and-a-half games for the reserves and for the first time in 18 months I don't feel any pain in my knee, or any movement. I have been training and running a lot. I feel perfect and all I need now is to play in matches."
Celtic's coach, Jozef Venglos, believes his side, who entertain Hearts today, are good enough to retain the Scottish Premier League title with their current squad of players. "Once we have all our top players fit, you will see them fighting to win the championship again," he said. "I have a duty, as a coach, to be patient with these players."
