The return of Tracy Edwards, who skippered the all-woman Maiden in the 1989-90 Whitbread, was signalled yesterday when she announced she was "in the final stages of negotiation" with the New Zealand owners to buy Enza, the 92ft catamaran which holds the round-the-world record.
