Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Wing George North was pleased to see a more clinical Wales performance in their 40-6 win over Argentina at the Millennium Stadium.
North was one of four try-scorers as Wales put their ragged defeat to South Africa behind them to collect their first autumn Test win since 2009.
And the 21-year-old Northampton star told BBC One: "It was great, obviously.
"Last week we had a lot of errors, we tightened up our game to be more accurate and we showed that today.
"We didn't start the best last week but it's a massive competition for us, this autumn series, and it's good to get the win today."
North scored an excellent try in the first half, using his pace and power to burst through after a neat reverse pass by Mike Phillips.
A storming break from his own 22 in the second period almost resulted in a second try, with Leigh Halfpenny eventually kicking a penalty. Phillips, Toby Faletau and Ken Owens got the other tries and Halfpenny kicked 20 points.
North played down his personal contribution, saying: "It was just a good performance all round, myself included. We played to our strengths and a were a lot more accurate."
