Your support makes all the difference.The Rugby World Cup is barely in the rear-view mirror yet the 2020 Six Nations has come around in a flash, with the six leading European nations ready to do battle to kick off the year’s international calendar.
Wales will look to defend their title that Warren Gatland won in his final Six Nations campaign in charge, with former Scarlets boss Wayne Pivac now at the helm and tasked with following in his fellow New Zealander’s footsteps.
But Wales will not start the tournament as favourites, as following their run to the World Cup final, England will begin as the bookmakers’ frontrunners, with Eddie Jones remaining in charge in the hope of adding to their 2016 Grand Slam and 2017 championship success.
A new era will begin in Ireland as Andy Farrell takes over from Joe Schmidt tasked with the job of rebuilding their success after a poor display in Japan last autumn, with a new captain also set to be appointed following the retirement of long-serving hooker Rory Best.
Scotland are another side who will hope to put the World Cup quickly behind them, although they do retain a sense of familiarity with Gregor Townsend still in charge as head coach, while Fabien Galthie steps up to the top job with France looking to build on their promising form that saw Les Bleus narrowly miss out on semi-final place. Italy meanwhile find themselves in limbo following the resignation of Conor O’Shea at the end of 2019, as planned replacement Rob Howley is currently serving a nine-month ban for breaching betting regulations which has resulted in former Cheetahs head coach Franco Smith being appointed as interim head coach.
