Newcastle have announced the signing of Bristol centre Luke Eves on a two-year contract.
Eves, who played for Bristol in last night's Championship play-off defeat against Exeter, will move to Kingston Park this summer.
The 21-year-old made almost 60 appearances for the west country club in three seasons.
"Luke is widely regarded as being one of the most promising young centres in the country," said Newcastle head coach Alan Tait.
"For a young man, he has an old head on his shoulders, and having already played two seasons in the Premiership he knows what it is all about at that level.
"He's definitely ambitious, and the fact that he sees Newcastle as a place where he can reach those goals is a great endorsement of what we are doing here and where we are going as a club."
Bristol, meanwhile, also look set to lose wing Tom Arscott, with Guinness Premiership finalists Leicester his probable destination next term.
