The Scottish side scored tries in each half but Nacewa kicked four penalties and converted Andrew Conway's try to make sure Leinster prevailed.
Nacewa kicked the hosts ahead with three points in the fourth minute before Tim Visser opened Edinburgh's account with a try in the corner, which was followed by another Nacewa penalty. Chris Paterson then posted three points for the Scottish side in the 24th minute before Andrew Conway went over for the hosts, with Leinster's full-back adding the conversion.
Nacewa landed another penalty after the break and Paterson converted his own try for Edinburgh in the 59th minute, but they failed to record any more points.
Tobie Botes' 14-point haul inspired Treviso to a 24-17 victory over Connacht at the Stadio di Monigo. The Irish side scored first when Ray Ofisa released Adrian Flavin, who touched down for Ian Keatley to convert. Botes posted two quick-fire penalties for Treviso and team-mate Chris Burton scored in the 24th-minute, with Botes successfully kicking the conversion.
Botes kicked three more points but Connacht replied with a penalty from Keatley. Treviso scored through Ludovico Nitoglia while Niva Ta'auso went over for visitors before Botes' last-minute penalty ensured Treviso triumphed.
The Dragons beat Ospreys 21-16 at the Liberty Stadium. Wayne Evans and Toby Faletau scored for the visitors and fly-half Jason Tovey kicked 11 points and, although Ospreys scored through Gareth Owen, the hosts were consigned to defeat.
