From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Manu Tuilagi scored two tries as Leicester won 34-26 at home to Worcester to continue their perfect start to the season with a second bonus-point win .

Andy Goode countered the damage done by Tuilagi by kicking three penalties in the first half. Worcester turned round 17-9 in arrears and responded with a try of their own after Vereniki Goneva went over for Leicester.

A penalty-try put the Tigers in line for a bonus point and Graham Kitchener underscored that so a late try by Alex Grove was not enough for Worcester to salvage anything.

Gloucester had a kicking machine named Freddie Burns to thank for their 40-31 victory at London Irish. The fly-half kicked seven penalties and two conversions and set up a decisive try for James Simpson-Daniel in a match in which both sides scored three tries.

Topsy Ojo's try and three penalties from Steve Shingler looked likely to give the Exiles a half-time advantage, but a try by Ben Morgan shortly before the interval allied to three penalties and a conversion from Burns gave Gloucester the edge.

A try by Halani Aulika shortly after the break restored London Irish's advantage. Tomas O'Leary went over but the metronomic boot of Burns kept Gloucester in touch until Simpson-Daniel and Akapusi Quera crossed to give Gloucester victory.

Australia claimed their first victory of the Rugby Championship when they beat South Africa 26-19 in Perth but they lost their third captain of the season to injury. Will Genia hurt his knee, joining lock James Horwill (hamstring) and openside flanker David Pocock (knee) on the sidelines.

The Wallabies, beaten by New Zealand in their first two matches, trailed 13-6 at the interval but scored two tries, from the replacement Scott Higginbotham, who came on for Radike Samo, and prop Ben Alexander. Berrick Barnes contributed the rest of Australia's points with perfect kicking, while the visitors' sole try came from Bryan Habana .

Argentina are showing they belong among the southern hemisphere's elite, earning praise from the New Zealand coach Steve Hansen and captain Richie McCaw after their 21-5 defeat by the All Blacks. The Pumas, who drew 16-16 with South Africa in Mendoza two weeks ago, held the home side for 66 minutes until left wing Julian Savea went over. Right wing Cory Jane crossed six minutes later to seal victory.
