Rugby Union: Victory turns on Lewis
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

38-23 in Windhoek yesterday.
Both came in the second half of a hard-fought game. He gave Wales the lead for the second time when he crossed for his first, scooping up a loose ball 10 metres from the line. His second, which put the tourists two scores ahead with 10 minutes to play, came when he took an inside pass from Roger Bidgood, crashed through two defenders, shook off a third and then sprinted for the line.
The Namibians had shaken Wales with a try three minutes into the game by the full-back Jaco Coetzee, and led 17-14 at half-time, with Simon Hill scoring a try for the Welsh and Neil Jenkins kicking two penalties.
The lead changed hands three times in the second half, where, apart from Lewis's vital contribution, there were tries for Wayne Proctor and Rupert Moon.
