Martin Offiah, who is leaving Bedford, has been approached by a London First Division club. The 30-year-old, who has played league for the London Broncos, has promised the unnamed union club a decision by today.

Newport have signed 29-year-old New Zealander Paul Cooke for the new season.

Kevin Ellis, the former Bridgend scrum-half who has been playing rugby league since 1990, has returned to union by joining Pilkington Cup finalists Sale.
