Mike Carrington, a wing, has become the second player to join Neath from rugby league. Carrington, who left Neath for St Helens in 1988 for pounds 65,000, follows ex-Fulham winger Adrian Cambriani back to Wales.

New Zealand will play eight matches, including three Tests against the Springboks who beat them 15-12 in the World Cup final, on their tour to South Africa in 1996. The first Test will be in Pretoria on 24 August, with the second in Durban seven days later and the third in Johannesburg on 7 September.
