Widnes have signed forward Ian Connor from Swinton Lions in exchange for the Great Britain Under-19 Academy international Wes Rogers.

St Helens are hoping to sign the New Zealand Test centre, Richie Blackmore. The former Castleford player is keen to return for a second spell in Britain and Saints have confirmed their interest. David Howes, the club's chief executive, said yesterday: "We are interested in signing Richie, who has alerted several clubs he is available."
