The British Amateur Association (Barla) have failed in its bid to be allowed to enter a side in the seven-team Emerging Nations World Cup, which takes place in October.

Tony Kemp, the New Zealander, will make his debut for Leeds against the Grand Slam-winners, Wigan, in Sunday's Charity Shield game at the Royal Dublin Showground.
