Robert Lee, the Newcastle United and England midfielder, has won November's Carling Player of the Month award. It is the second time Lee has won the Player of the Month award, after being named as the panel's choice in September 1994.

The Aberdeen midfielder, Stephen Glass, has ended speculation over his future by signing a new two-and-a-half-year contract. The talented teenager had attracted attention from both Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur after his impressive display in the Dons' Coca-Cola Cup final win against Dundee last month.
