Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Tomorrow's Mazda Car-Line Winter rally is the opening round of the six-round Mintex National rally series. More than 90 competitors will attempt 19 special stages over a 220-mile course of Hampshire and Dorset forests, starting and finishing in Bournemouth. Some of the stages are either inaccessible or closed to the public. The best viewing points, all with parking and catering facilities, to watch the rally are: Stage one: Lower Central Gardens and seafront, Bournemouth, first car at 8am. Stage seven: Ringwood Forest, off B3081, north of Ringwood (10.30am). Stage eight: Uddens Forest off the A31 Ferndown bypass (10.57am). Stage 12 returns to Ringwood Forest (1.42pm). Stage 14 returns to Udden Forest (1.56pm). Stages 17/18: Wareham Forest, off the secondary road between Wareham and Bere Regis (4.54pm). All car parks are signposted.

How to get there: The rally starts at 8am in Bournemouth and finishes by the pier at 6.30pm. Rover car park tickets, which allow access to all the above stages, cost pounds 5.
