Racing: No catching Umistim

UMISTIM could be heading for the big meeting at York next week after completing a double in the six-furlong Copenhagen Conditions Stakes Windsor yesterday. Final Row took a slight lead over a furlong out, but Umistim rallied in fine style to score by two lengths.

Richard Hannon, welcoming back his 11-4 winner, ridden by Richard Hughes, said: "I thought he only just got home over seven furlongs at Newbury on fast ground, so I dropped him back here and he's done it well on heavy.

"I might see if there is something for him at York, as he has shown he can go through soft ground and is a fine big horse."

Hannon made it a 23-1 double when Boating Song (11-2) won the Wellington Nursery.
