Racing: Hyperion's TV tips
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

2.35: DOCKLANDS EXPRESS is an improved performer at this time of year and can repeat last year's win. Dubacilla would prefer the ground even softer and faces her toughest task yet, while Black Humour regularly disappoints when facing top-class opposition and is sometimes let down by his jumping.
3.10: Thumbs Up was still going well when unluckily brought down in the Arkle Chase at Cheltenham won by NAKIR. Many will expect him to gain revenge today in receipt of weight from Simon Christian's charge, but that winner, who is lightly raced and can be expected to improve, finished very strongly and will be difficult to pass.
3.45: In this race over the Grand National fences, TRI FOLENE has the advantage of having Richard Dunwoody in the saddle. Amateur-ridden at Cheltenham last time, this mare will benefit from the stronger handling of the champion jockey. Over The Deel disappointed at Cheltenham but is well handicapped.
4.20: MYSILV should extend her unbeaten run to seven. A typically forceful victory in the Triumph Hurdle silenced doubts about her abilities. Several rivals today were rated higher on the Flat, including Kadastrof and Dark Den. The former is best on heavy ground, so the latter, unbeaten in two hurdle runs, is the only one likely to test the favourite.
