Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

DONCASTER

2.05: EVENING WORLD, trained by Martin Pipe who won the Doncaster Cup yesterday with Far Cry, was well-beaten in the Rose Of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock, but drops in class here and should not be far away.

ooo

2.35: BOLD GAIT, a game winner at Newbury on his reappearance, retains his ability and can repeat his 1994 success in this race.

ooo

3.05: EKRAAR, who made all to win the Champagne Lanson Vintage Stakes over this trip at Goodwood last time, has the best credentials. Rossini, the Prix Robert Papin winner, must go well despite possibly being only Aidan O'Brien's third-best two-year-old behind Bernstein and Fasliyev. Distant Music, who won admirers among the ranks of the professional punters when winning a maiden over course and distance on his debut with subsequent Solario Stakes winner Best Of The Bests back in third, is also respected.

ooo

3.40: SECRET SAVER is not one to have the mortgage on but might spring a surprise if in the mood.

ooo

GOODWOOD

2.45: SARAFAN, runner up to Best Of The Bests in the Solario Stakes at Sandown, is the form choice.

ooo

3.15: CONSORT is a tricky ride but, even so, he was given far too much to do at Windsor last time and may make amends here.

ooo

3.45: DEBBIE'S WARNING, whose saddle slipped in the Celebration Mile here, has an easier task today.
