One of the quickest from the tape, he settled behind the leaders and made his only error at Becher's second time. Going easily, he joined Moorcroft Boy in front at the second last, but was relegated to second at the last. Taking it up again at The Elbow, he won with a little to spare. Odds: 16-1

2 JUST SO

Among the back-markers for a circuit, he made rapid progress at the start of the second lap and soon joined the leading group. Outpaced between the last two obstacles, and six lengths off the lead at the last, he rallied and stayed on to the line. 20-1

3 MOORCROFT BOY

Mid-division early on, he was driven along behind the leaders - making a mistake at the 26th - and took up the lead between the last two. Found nothing when challenged. 5-1 fav

4 EBONY JANE

Badly hampered at the first on the second circuit, she progressed to join the leading group and stayed with the winner until the second last. 25-1

5 FIDDLERS PIKE

Started slowly on the wide outside and remained in mid-division for first circuit. Made good steady progress to join the leaders but could not quicken from the third last. 100-1

6 ROC DE PRINCE

Several mistakes - bad ones at Becher's and the 20th - and being hampered at least twice, ensured he never got into the race. Tailed-off on the second circuit. 100-1

INTO THE RED

Behind early on, he reached the leaders but was only staying on slowly when unseating rider at the last. 25-1

ZETA'S LAD

Never reached leaders and made a bad error at Becher's second time. Tailed-off when falling at the last. 16-1

RUST NEVER SLEEPS

Well behind when he fell at the 27th (final open ditch). 66-1

MISTER ED

Made mistake at the first and behind early on, he had made progress when brought down by The Fellow at the 24th (Canal Turn). 50-1

THE FELLOW

Tracked leaders towards the inside and had progressed to join frontrunners after The Chair. Going well until pecked at Becher's, he was hampered by Just So at the next (23rd) and was tiring when he fell at the 24th. 9-1

CHANNELS GATE

Mid-division until he refused at the 19th (open ditch). 100-1

RIVERSIDE BOY

Shared the lead for most of first circuit. Ran wide towards exit to stables at start of the second circuit. Tried to refuse before the 17th and succeeded at the next. 33-1

HE WHO DARES WINS

Made bad mistake at the first. Well behind when pulled up at the 17th. 66-1

PACO'S BOY

Put feet in water jump and was well behind when pulled up at 17th. 200-1

GARRISON SAVANNAH

Always going well and disputed the lead from the start. Prominent and towards the inside rail when hampered by loose horse and pulled up going into 17th. 25-1

RUN FOR FREE

Behind until ran into the back of Garrison Savannah and was brought down going into 17th. 25-1

BLACK HUMOUR

Raced prominently and was still going strongly until he hit the 15th (The Chair) hard and fell. 33-1

QUIRINUS

Tailed-off from start. Well behind when fell at the 15th. 250-1

DOUBLE SILK

Disputed the lead from the start. Going well when fell at the 13th. 6-1

MASTER OATS

Well placed behind leaders towards outer when fell at the 13th. 9-1

MR BOSTON

Never going well and towards rear when fell at the 13th. 16-1

TOPSHAM BAY

Close up until hampered and unseated rider at the 13th. 25-1
