Racing: Commanche Court the new 5-1 favourite for The Ladbroke

Commanche Court is favourite for The Ladbroke Handicap Hurdle after winning the RTE for Sport Handicap Hurdle at Leopardstown yesterday.

The Tote reacted to the victory for Ted Walsh's Triumph Hurdle winner, the heavily-backed 5-4 favourite yesterday, by making him 5-1 favourite (from 10-1) for Saturday week's race at the Irish course as well as 10- 1 clear favourite for the Tote Gold Trophy Handicap Hurdle at Newbury on 14 February.

Bryan Harding has a notable ride at Cheltenham on Thursday, just a fortnight after his return from a year out of action. The jump jockey will be reunited with McGregor The Third in the newly-instituted pounds 12,500-added Sporting Index Select Chase.

There is a carryover of pounds 126,031.97 into this afternoon's Tote Jackpot pool at Taunton.
