Henry Cecil's filly, who has suffered three defeats since winning the Musidora Stakes at York in May, worked respectably on the Newmarket gallops yesterday morning and will be supplemented today at a cost of nearly pounds 10,000 for the Group One race.
All At Sea, who will be ridden by Pat Eddery, will be reverting to eight furlongs for the first time this season, but her trainer believes the soft going at the Paris course will blunt the speed of the specialist milers.
The Prix du Moulin prize has returned to Britain three times in the last seven years via Rousillon, Sonic Lady and Distant Relative, but All At Sea will be the sole representative this season as Paul Cole's Culture Vulture, who was among 12 entries at yesterday's forfeit stage, will not be ready to run.
Three challengers will travel from Ireland, including Brief Truce, who accounted for Arazi and Rodrigo De Triano in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot on his latest outing. Dermot Weld's colt, the mount of Michael Kinane, will be assisted by a pacemaker, Sharp Review (Pat Shanahan).
Lester Piggott, who last won this race in 1973 on Sparkler, gets a chance to improve his record when he rides Vincent O'Brien's El Prado, seventh to Exit To Nowhere on his last visit to France for the Prix Jacques le Marois.
Francois Boutin appears to hold the strongest hand of the home contingent. As well as Arazi, who will also have the services of a pacemaker, Akiko, the Chantilly trainer has the Poule d'Essai des Poulains winner, Shanghai, in the race.
