Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Three players equally vital to England's European Championship campaign and London Towers' bid to make a clean sweep of the game's domestic honours play their eighth fixture in two weeks when they line up against Worthing Bears in the Budweiser League tomorrow, writes Duncan Hooper.

For Steve Bucknall, Neville Austin and Andy Gardiner, next in this punishing schedule is Wednesday's game in Moscow against Russia, one of the most powerful teams in Europe, in the championship semi-final round group.

Bucknall led England's scoring in both this week's friendly internationals against Hungary and the pressure to score will be on him in Moscow where the size, strength and shooting power of the Russians will be overwhelmingly stacked against England.

London can turn to the Americans Tony Windless and Danny Lewis to relieve the scoring strain on Bucknall as the club try to maintain their two point lead at the top of the table over the Sheffield Sharks.
