Daley will hope to pick up where his compatriots left off in the pool on day two, which saw Adam Peaty and Jazz Carlin earn Britain's first medals of the Games.
Peaty smashed the 100m breaststroke in a world record time of 57.13 seconds to take gold, while Carlin won silver with a personal best of 4:01.23.
The women's rugby sevens will hope to guarantee on the podium when they take on favourites New Zealand in the semi-finals.
Another British swimmer, James Guy, goes up against the likes of Sun Yang and Chad Le Clos in the 200m freestyle on day three.
Team GB's male gymnasts are also in action, with Louis Smith, Kristian Thomas and Max Whitlock competing in the men's team all-around.
