The 4x400m women’s relay final will be held on Saturday 20 August 2016.

What time will it be on?

The race will start at around 2.00am Sunday 21 August BST (10.00pm local time in Rio).

BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Four, the BBC red button and the BBC Sport website will have live coverage of all events at Rio 2016.

Who are the contenders?

Allyson Felix and Francena McCorory from the 2012 London Games’ gold medal-winning US team will return, hoping to take victory once again.

At the 1992 Barcelona Games, the ’Unified Team’ of numerous former Soviet nations beat the US in their only Summer Games outing.
