Dean Richards has retired from his job as a police sergeant to concentrate full-time on his rugby career with Leicester and England.

Nigel Walker, the Welsh winger, has rejected an pounds 80,000 two-year deal with Bedford in favour of becoming fitness coach at Cardiff. Walker, 32, will continue to play for the Blue and Blacks while taking on the new paid role on the club's staff.
