Nicola Panzeri, the 26-year-old Italian professional cyclist, was killed on Saturday in a head-on collision between the motorcycle he was riding and an oncoming car, near his home in Lecco, Northern Italy. Panzeri, who raced for the Scrigno-Gaerne team and had been due to compete in this year's Giro d'Italia.
