The Patriots took on the Rams in Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta in a battle of two of the best offenses in the NFL.

But it was defences who dominated for much of the contest with the Pats only leading 3-0 at half-time.

The lowest scoring Super Bowl was Super Bowl 7.

The Miami Dolphins defeated the Washington Redskins in game where only 21 total points were scored. The Phins eventually prevailed 14-7.

Only three touchdowns and three extra points were scored in the 1973 encounter.
