Baltimore Ravens safety Earl Thomas was found in bed with his brother and two other women, a police report originally obtained by TMZ says.
On the night of April 13, Thomas’ wife Nina is said to have been alerted to Earl’s whereabouts at an Airbnb on Snapchat before confronting him with her husband’s handgun.
She had removed the magazine of the gun and only wanted to “scare” Thomas but failed to remove the bullet in the chamber.
Thomas wrestled the gun away from Nina before police were called at 3:41am the next morning after being alerted to a disturbance to find Thomas being pursued by Nina who was carrying a knife.
Nina was arrested and now reportedly faces a charge of burglary with intent to commit aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Thomas took to Instagram to pre-empt the reports and ask for fans to keep his family “in your prayers”.
“So my agent just hit me and said that I’m going to be on TMZ tomorrow from an altercation that happened with me and Nina,” Thomas said.
“So just wanted to get ahead of it and it’s really not anybody’s business. It’s pissing me off that it got out, but it’s the world we live in today. But instead of talking about us, just keep us in y’all prayers.
“Stuff like this happens. We try to live the best life we possibly can, but sometimes it don’t go as planned. Just pray for us as we go through this stuff. We’re back talking, I’m seeing my kids, so just keep us in your prayers.”
