Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

The Avon Tyres British GT Championship heads to the historic curves of Brands Hatch with two one-hour race's on Sunday 26 September.

Coming into the final two meetings of the season, the Championship is still open, with the Trackspeed Porsche of David Ashburn and Glynn Gleddie out-front but the MTECH Racing Ferrari 430 of Matt Griffin and Duncan Cameron chasing hard to close the gap.

Add in an Ascari, Dodge Viper, Mosler, Ford GT and the Audi R8 LMS and it's a recipe for thrills, spills and excitement.

You won't forget the sight and sound of over 20 race-tuned super-cars in the white-heat of championship winning competition.

There is also a chance to see some of the F1 stars of the future as some of the best young racing drivers in Britain and beyond compete in the Cooper Tires British F3 International Championship. The Championship has been won in the past by motor sport legends like Ayrton Senna and Sir Jackie Stewart, while reigning F1 World Champion Jenson Button and current Championship hopeful Mark Webber also raced in the series.

Sunday, 26 September promises to be a festival of top class motor sport action with not only British GT and F3, but also Formula Ford, VW Cup and Ginettas racing.

The Independent has teamed up with Brands Hatch and the event organisers to offer readers 10 pairs of tickets to see a spectacular weekend of motor sport action.

The competition has now closed. Winners will be notified.

If you are not one of the lucky winners tickets can also be booked by calling the ticket hotline on 0870 950 9000
