Your support makes all the difference.Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger paid tribute to Michael Schumacher in his press briefing this morning, as the seven-time Formula One driver fights for his life after a skiing accident.
"Personally I didn’t know him but of course I am an admirer of his achievements. We are all shocked that a man who has taken so many risks in his life and got out of every single risk he took, on a simple accident this can happen to him, which can happen to anyone else who is not as gifted on the sporting front," Wenger said ahead of the match against Cardiff City on New Year's Day.
"That is very shocking and we wish him well. He is a great football fan as well, especially a fan of Cologne and I think he is very close to Lukas Podolski."
Arsenal's German international Lukas Podolski, who had two spells at Cologne, wrote on his Twitter page: "Please get well soon, Michael Schumacher. All the best for you, my friend!"
Gunners' midfielder Jack Wilshere, meanwhile, wrote: "Thoughts with Michael Schumacher and his family! Brings back terrible memories. Hope he makes a full recovery!"
French doctors performed a successful second operation to reduce bruising in the brain of Michael Schumacher late last night, improving the condition of the former Formula One champion but leaving his hopes of recovery “fragile”, it was announced today.
