The FIA had asked Arrows to contact them by 6pm yesterday after the team did not take part in Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. That was the second consecutive Grand Prix Arrows had failed to take part in as owner Tom Walkinshaw tries to sell the cash-strapped team. The former head of BAR, Craig Pollock, has pulled out of talks with Walkinshaw, who has since turned to American industrialist Cal Smith. But Arrows face being thrown out of the championship, particularly if the team's future is not settled by the next race at Monza in Italy in 12 days' time. An Arrows spokeswoman said: "We have responded to the FIA and we are now waiting to see what happens."
