Your support makes all the difference.Colin McMillan is considering retiring from boxing after losing his British featherweight title in painful fashion at London's York Hall. McMillan, his face a mask of blood, was battered to an eighth-round defeat by the younger, stronger Paul Ingle.
McMillan, the 30-year-old former World Boxing Organisation world champion, had a stitched, almost closed right eye, a gash under his left eye and swollen lips after the referee stopped the bout.
"The way I feel at the moment, I don't think I will be carrying on," he said. "It won't be a hasty decision. I'll take a couple of weeks and think it over. But I have to be honest with myself. If I can't do it at that level, there is not much point. It's important to know when to move on."
The fight, the 35th of his career, turned against McMillan after 24-year- old Ingle pounded him for almost a minute on the ropes in the fifth round.
