England won the Cricket World Cup after beating New Zealand in a thriller at Lord’s.
Eoin Morgan’s men survived the drama of a super over after New Zealand's 241-8 was matched by England with Mark Wood run out from the final ball of the innings. Ben Stokes, who scored 84 in the chase, then returned alongside Jos Buttler to hit 15 from six balls before Martin Guptill was run out in dramatic fashion handing the tournament hosts the win.
Here's how one of the most dramatic matches in history played out:

De Grandhomme has Root caught behind
de Grandhomme hits Root on the pad and appeals but it is given not out. Root then advances and misses the ball and he tries to smash it through mid-wicket. The pressure is getting to him and it show next ball and he goes for a big drive but only edges it through to Latham.

I'm officially nervous now. Eoin Morgan, England's captain, comes to the crease.
17.0 - Eng 60-2, Morgan 1, Bairstow 32, de Grandhomme 1-9 (4.0)
It wasn't the shot but the pressure that undid Joe Root. He couldn't get the ball away and tried to do something outside of his comfort zone.
England need a big partnership to settle their innings.
17.4 - Eng 62-2, Morgan 3, Bairstow 32, Ferguson 0-5 (1.4)
Morgan's looking busy, he guides one to third man and scrambles back for two runs. Good running.
18.0 - Eng 63-2, Morgan 4, Bairstow 32, Ferguson 0-6 (2.0)
Three from the over. There's still loads of time for England to get themselves in an whittle down this total.
18.4 - Eng 65-2, Morgan 6, Bairstow 32, de Grandhomme 1-11 (4.4)
Morgan continues to look positive with mixed results. He slaps one over mid-off and picks up two but doesn't get any of the next three balls away.
19.0 - Eng 66-2, Morgan 7, Bairstow 32, de Grandhomme 1-12 (5.0)
Bairstow misses out of a full toss. Maybe because he hasn't had the strike in a while. Another three off the over.
19.2 - Eng 71-2, Morgan 7, Bairstow 36, Ferguson 0-10 (2.2)
Bairstow finds the cover boundary by getting on top of the ball and slapping it away for four.
Bairstow chops on off Lockie Ferguson
Ferguson continues to dig the ball in short. Bairstow tries to cut one through point but gets an inside edge and drags the ball onto his stumps. England are three down and look rattled.
