England won the Cricket World Cup after beating New Zealand in a thriller at Lord’s.

Eoin Morgan’s men survived the drama of a super over after New Zealand's 241-8 was matched by England with Mark Wood run out from the final ball of the innings. Ben Stokes, who scored 84 in the chase, then returned alongside Jos Buttler to hit 15 from six balls before Martin Guptill was run out in dramatic fashion handing the tournament hosts the win.

Plunkett starts his final over with two dot balls before de Grandhomme works the ball out to the mid-wicket boundary for a single.

Latham pulls a short ball for one. Plunkett continues to ball cross seam deliveries and de Grandhomme doesn't get them away.

He finishes with 3-42 off ten overs. A magnificent effort.

Here comes Jofra Archer. He has five overs left and will bowl to the end now. Latham takes one off the first ball, de Grandhomme misses the second. 

Archer fires a short ball at de Grandhomme who tries to hook it but gets a top edge onto his helmet and the ball lands safely.
