The Rugby League is studying reports from both clubs and from the police, who took statements from between 20 and 30 fans, as well as watching the match video in order to determine whether Goulding has a case to answer.
The allegation from Leeds is that, after creating the try that ensured his former club would be beaten, Goulding went towards spectators in the family enclosure, made obscene gestures and remarks and spat over them after drinking from a water bottle. Goulding was keeping quiet yesterday on the advice of his club.
