Juve's Milan exile
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The Italian Serie A leaders are failing to pull-in the crowds to their Delle Alpi stadium in Turin. Only 20,000 turned out to watch them beat Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-finals in a stadium that holds 71,000.
By switching to the San Siro stadium, which holds 85,000, the club hopes that tens of thousands of their supporters in the Milan area will turn out to support them.
They originally asked for the game to be played in Bologna, but their German opponents were reported to have rejected the proposal.
Both clubs have now agreed to play in Milan on 4 April 4.
Romario was omitted yesterday from Brazil's squad for next week's friendly against Honduras with the national manager, Mario Zagalo, once again questioning the striker's commitment to the national side.
"You know he was picked for the squad (for a recent friendly against Slovakia) and he did not want to play," Zagalo said. "He was the one who said it, not me."
Romario, whose goals helped Brazil to the World Cup last year, was left out of the squad for the Slovakia game after he told reporters he did not want to play for the national team until next year.
Zagalo chose a young and entirely Brazil-based squad for the game against Honduras next Wednesday in Serra Dourada, in Goiania state. Of five uncapped players, three - Jefferson, Beto and Sergio Manoel - are from in-form Botafogo who have won their last seven games in a row under their manager, Jair Pereira.
Also in the line-up is Tulio, the leading goalscorer in Rio with 17 goals in this year's state championship, six ahead of Romario, who plays his club football for Flamengo.
