Cardiff Devils, the Superleague champions, will begin the defence of their title with a tough match at the Nynex Arena against the Manchester Storm in early October.

The Devils are certain to start as favourites for the title after comfortably taking the league ahead of Sheffield Steelers, the play-off winners, last year.

Their first meeting is on 16 November in Cardiff, with the pair facing- off again a week later at the Sheffield Arena.
