Yesterday they were outplayed by Wiener, the Austrian champions, losing 10-3. Menzies Hill collected their first points of the championship by beating the French champions Mont Rouge 8-6. The host club, Rot Weiss, who are the defending champions, moved into the final following a 14-3 win against Grunwald, the Polish army champions, and will play Valdeluz, of Spain, who dashed to a 5-1 interval lead against Wiener on their way to an 8-4 win. In the PizzaExpress National League Havant moved three points ahead of Hounslow at the top following a 4-1 win at Canterbury.
