Players returned to golf on Saturday after attending a moving memorial service on Friday in Orlando, Florida, for US Open champion Payne Stewart, who was among six killed on Monday in an air tragedy that ended when their plane crashed.
Stewart, No 3 on the money list, was not replaced in the field.
Several players wore bracelets that said "WWJD" - What Would Jesus Do - that were handed out during the memorial service. Stewart wore the bracelet when he won the US Open in June.
Woods sustained what was described as a stinger in his left arm hitting through a fist-sized rock to get to his ball at the 15th hole on Thursday.
He arrived about an hour before his tee time on Saturday and said he felt fine. Then he went out and made three birdies in the rain to reach 9-under 133 through 36 holes.
Perry birdied the final two holes to complete a 64 and was at 134. Love, who led after the first day of 27 holes, made one bogey and had a second-round score of 70.
