Golf has been put firmly in perspective with her father seriously ill in hospital in South Carolina. Davies was also unable to put in a practice round as yesterday's pro-am was washed out by heavy rain.
Sorenstam's appearance alongside the men at the PGA Tour's Colonial tournament in Texas two weeks ago still attracts huge interest, although she proved she is ready to move on with a successful defence of the Kellogg Keebler Classic in Illinois last Sunday.
The Swede has her focus firmly back on the women's game with a first LPGA title on her list of priorities.
"Colonial was a one-off opportunity, a great challenge and a wonderful experience," she said. "But I want to leave it at that. Now I want to concentrate on the LPGA. I've won 44 times, but only four majors and I want more."
