Your support makes all the difference.One of WWE’s biggest shows airs this Sunday as the 2018 version of SummerSlam comes from New York.
Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey and AJ Styles are among those in action as all of the company’s major championships are up for grabs once again.
Lesnar will defend against perennial challenger Roman Reigns in a bout for his Universal Championship while Rousey looks to once again win her first WWE title as she targets Alexa Bliss.
With 13 bouts to get through and plenty of scores to be settled, we’ve outlined everything you need to know about WWE SummerSlam.
When is it?
The event takes place on Sunday night (into Monday morning here in the UK), 19 August 2018. The show is held at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York.
What time does it start?
The action starts from 10pm BST with the two-hour ‘kick-off’ show which will feature build-up, pre-match chatter and three matches, including two title bouts. The main portion of the show begins at midnight and will last until around 4am.
Where can I watch it?
UK viewers can watch it on Sky Sports Box Office either live, or via one of the repeat showings. Repeats begin on Monday, August 20th and run through to Thursday August 23rd, showing daily at 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm and 10pm. The event will set you back £14.95
WWE are also showing the event on their own streaming service, WWE Network, which is available via subscription at £9.99.
Can I stream it for free?
Yes – but only if you’re a new subscriber to WWE Network. WWE offers a month’s free trial for new sign-ups, so book up before the show starts and you won’t pay a penny.
Is Brock Lesnar leaving for UFC?
Lesnar seems almost certain to be preparing for a return to the Octagon and another shot at life in UFC’s heavyweight division. It’s no forgone conclusion, though, that he’ll do so at the expense of his WWE career. Lesnar, while just appearing on a handful of dates per-year, is comfortably the company’s top-earning performer, and the man himself is a huge attraction for the WWE, so it’s in their interests to continue working together. Be prepared to see Lesnar appear in UFC still with the Universal title in his possession:
