Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins are among the champions looking to hold on to their gold at WWE Stomping Grounds this weekend.

WWE Champion Kingston and Rollins, the Raw Universal Champion, tackle big title defences on Sunday as the company’s latest pay-per-view sees rivals from across Raw, Smackdown and 205 Live.

Kingston has the unenviable task of handling Dolph Ziggler inside a steel cage, while Baron Corbin is the man looking to take down Raw’s top dog - with the mystery caveat of a special guest referee, to be selected by the challenger, looming large over the bout.

There are plenty of matches to get through and so many different ways to watch the event, we’ve compiled this handy guide to WWE’s Stomping Grounds event.

When is WWE Stomping Grounds?

Stomping Grounds is this Sunday night, 23 June into the early hours of Monday 24 June. The show comes from the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington.

What time does Stomping Grounds start?

Stomping Grounds gets underway at midnight on Sunday, or at least the main portion of the event does. You can get your fix a little sooner, as a KickOff ‘pre-show’ airs from 11pm, featuring all the build-up and, usually, at least one preliminary bout.

Where can I watch Stomping Grounds?

Pretty much anywhere you like, as long as you have a TV, smartphone device or a computer.

Sky Sports are showing the event on Sky Sports Box Office. You can order and watch it live but, in addition, Stomping Grounds is repeated between 6am on Monday 24 June and 9pm on Thursday 27 June.

Alternatively, you can subscribe to WWE’s in-house service, WWE Network, which will air it as it happens and almost immediately on demand afterwards, indefinitely.

You can view WWE Network on most smartphones and devices, including PS4, Xbox 360 or Xbox One and the vast majority of connected smart televisions. If you’re still using a PS3 please be aware: WWE confirmed the Network may cease to work on the platform moving forward.

How much will Stomping Grounds cost to watch?

That depends on which method you chose. Sky Sports Box Office are charging £14.95 for their airings, while WWE Network subscriptions are a cheaper at £9.99 per month.

Can you stream Super Showdown online for free?

Yes, but you'll need to be swift! WWE Network is actually free of charge for new subscribers.

So, if you’re a first-time subscriber, head over to wwe.com before Sunday’s show and sign up. That will give you a month’s access for free, which will include not only this show, but also any other WWE content and events for the month.

What will the main event be?

The main event hasn’t been confirmed by WWE but it is most likely to be the Universal Championship match between Seth Rollins and Baron Corbin.

Who will be the special guest referee at Stomping Grounds?

Sure enough, we don’t know that yet, either! Rumours have been swirling that Brock Lesnar will be re-introduced to the Universal title storyline by being interjected into this bout as the referee.

Other theories suggest Corbin will bizarrely appoint himself, but the Lesnar idea seems to be the better bet at the present moment.

Smackdown Women’s Champion, Bayley, meets Alexa Bliss while US Champion Samoa Joe wrestles Ricochet.

Tony Nese defends his Cruiserweight championship against Drew Gulak and Akira Tozawa in a triple-threat match, while Daniel Bryan and Rowan meet Heavy Machinery for the Smackdown tag team championships.
