From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Dean Ambrose kick started Smackdown with an intense promo describing his time being arrested on Monday night. The Lunatic Fringe said that despite Rollins playing games with him on Raw, there will be no fun at the Elimination Chamber as there will be just a pure fight as he puts an end to the age of Rollins as the age of Ambrose will begin.

The first match of the night had The Lucha Dragons take on The Brass Ring Club in a Tag Team Lumberjack Match. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd were in control until The New Day pulled Kidd's leg to distract him. Kalisto showed his growth by taking advantage and landing the Salida del Sol to win the match and go into the Tag Team Elimination Chamber Match with the strongest momentum.

King Barrett and R-Truth battled it out to get the one up before the Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber Match on Sunday. R-Truth pulled out a swift win on the King of the Ring winner with the Lie Detector within a few minutes. Sheamus had however cut the celebrations short by storming down to the ring to land the Brogue Kick on the veteran.

The fans witnessed a battle of the behemoths as Ryback took on Rusev. The two powerhouses went back and forth until the fans infuriated the Bulgarian with chants of "We Want Lana". Rusev responded by repeatedly slamming Ryback's head into the ring post to lose by disqualification. There was an evident injury on the ankle of Rusev, which has sparked reports that he will miss Sunday's pay-per-view.

Paige finally got to get her hands on Naomi following her attack in England last month. Paige cleverly took Tamina out at ringside so she could win the match with the Rampage on Naomi. The Bella Twins then approached the ramp to applaud Paige on her win ahead of their Triple Threat Match this weekend.

Michael Cole hosted an interview with Kevin Owens about his match with John Cena at the Elimination Chamber. The NXT Champion said that he will dominate over the U.S. Champion as he not only knows how to start a fight but he knows how to finish them. Owens said that if he can take out his best friend Sami Zayn for good then no one is prepared for what he will do to Cena.

The main event had fans see Roman Reigns join Ambrose to take on Kane and Rollins. The match was cut short by disqualification as J&J Security interfered. Kane then sent The New Day to attack on Ambrose before Reigns leaped over the ropes to turn the tables. Ambrose landed the Dirty Deeds on Xavier Woods before Reigns hit the Superman Punch and Spear on Kofi Kingston and Big E. Kane had however hit a Chokeslam on Reigns while Rollins landed a Pedigree on Ambrose for The Authority to head into the Elimination Chamber as the top runners.
