WWE commentator John 'Bradshaw' Layfield is known for his strong knowledge of all sports, and he did not let us down on Raw on Monday night, calling Nikki Bella's punch on AJ Lee as "just like Phil Bardsley knocking out Wayne Rooney".
Rooney made the headlines on the front and back pages over the weekend as the shocking clip of him being "knocked out" by former team-mate Bardsley during a kitchen sparring session.
Bardsley's wife Tanya claimed that Rooney got straight back up after the knockout, saying it was just "two mates having a laugh".
The Manchester United captain made light of the video, which was filmed in his own house on 22 February, with the celebration after scoring the decisive third in the 3-0 win over Tottenham later on Sunday.

Talking about the video, Rooney said afterwards: "It's in my own home. It's not public. It's what friends do. They mess around in the house."
Layfield, known as "JBL", is a huge fan of rugby union, is constantly tweeting about the Six Nations, and usually brings up the sport when Irish grappler Sheamus is in action.
He also mocked the English cricket team last week, after their embarrassing elimination from the Cricket World Cup.
When English wrestler Bad News Barrett was fighting Daniel Bryan, JBL said: "Barrett about to look like England after Bangladesh got hold of 'em."
